Gosh I love lists. Easy to read, not too taxing, saves doing the legwork and often makes me aware of things I otherwise wouldn’t have found.

Here are some good suggestions of what to read this February:

My biggest problem with sci fi and fantasty is that it is often very sexist. Here is a collection of Science Fiction and Speculative Fiction for girls. By which I think they mean that the books are either written by women, analyse gender constructively, have a female protagonist or are just so darn popular that at least some girls must be reading it, right? There are a few on here I have already read, and a few more I’m looking forward to getting to.

And to round up this (short) list  of lists here is a collection of photographs of the 20 most beautiful bookshops in the world. Deary me.
